SB 831 -- BILL OF RIGHTS DAY
SPONSOR: Loudon (Gambaro)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Tourism, Recreation and Cultural Affairs by a vote of 16 to 0.
This bill establishes December 15 as "Bill of Rights Day" in
Missouri.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill of rights is the
foundation of American freedom. American people should know,
understand, and celebrate the Bill of Rights.
Testifying for the bill were Senator Loudon; and Marc Anderson,
Columbia, teacher.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
